DevSecOps Developer

Description

Thompson Software Solutions is seeking a mid to senior level Software Engineer who is ready to work with a talented team to provide innovative solutions for tomorrows problems. The successful candidate will work with developers to oversee the code releases, combining an understanding of both engineering and coding. From creating and implementing systems software to analyzing data to improve existing ones, the Software Engineer increases productivity in the workplace. They understand the software development lifecycle and have a clear understanding of various automation tools for developing digital pipelines (CI/ CD pipelines). The successful candidate will be a member of a high-performing multi-site team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. In this role, you will work independently / solo at times on projects, at other times will be in a collaborative team environment with other software engineers, as well as other program development and deployment teams. The ability to travel on occasion for team interaction and integration and test activities is required, up to 25%.

Selected applicant will be subjected to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and must maintain eligibility for continued access to classified information throughout their employment as required by the job.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Physics, or other Engineering/Science related discipline
• Experience using C++
• Experience using static analysis tools (Parasoft, Coverity, SonarQube, or similar analysis tool)
• Experience with Red Hat Linux OS Kernel
• Python Experience
• Agile Process Tools (e.g. Version One, JIRA)
• Continuous Integration (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo)
• Experience with repository and version control tools such as Bitbucket and GitLab
• Ability to travel up to 25%
